I found this run pretty decent as it was 2 laps of the same route. The run inside the park was nice and varied using paths and park trails to make up the route. There was 1 stretch (done twice) which was on road, the rest in the park. Safe for spectators and runnners and gave a chance to beat the 1st lap with the 2nd lap!
All in all nice race. 1st half for a while and under 2 hours. Next one aiming for 1:45

After last years teething problems over getting into the venue in time for the start, this year was faultless. The mashalls were really second to none and got everyone in without any issues at all.
The race itself is now one of my favourite throughout the year (and I take part in 12 halfs every year) with the venue supplying stunning countryside to run through and first class oragnisation.
When taking part in an event the feeling of being safe is very important and this race makes you feel safe and secure throughout. The brief time on the road is perfectly marshalled as all the way through the park.
A bespoke medal and t-shirt along with the post race massage make this a stunning event.
Well done on making the improvements from last year. It's now close to perfect!

The registration was chaos, with queues for miles to get into the carparks, but once started the race was a nice varied and attractive course

This is a very good race with quite a fast course. The location is beautiful and a pleasure to run through the grounds. You do have to be aware that the park is open to the public and their dogs at the same time who will be using the pathways you're running on.
Although not entirely set inside the park the stretch of road used outside is a closed road and marshalled very well.
The only downside was the entering of the location which was frankly chaotic and the queues with our vehicles went on for hours. This is not an exaggeration. I had to park my car and run to the start which had thankfuly been delayed but not by long enough so I received no race briefing which obviously includes safety advice. The race started as I reached the start line so no time for any stretching etc either.
Would I do this again? Yes I would as I'm hoping that the parking situation has been addressed this year.

2016 was the first time this race was staged and it showed.
Im hoping the issues are solved for this year as the setting is great and the intent is good.
Sadly, the issue in 2016 was that the organisers explicitly communicated a particular postcode to runners to use in sat nav for arriving. Problem with this was that it was down single file country lanes and entry to Tatton Pk through one small gate, wide enough for one car at a time at a 3-way junction! It was carnage and absolute havoc. People were abandoning cars on public highways and verges and sprinting to the start. As a result, I know of many people who traveled significant distance who missed the race. The organisers delayed the start by 30mins but many missed out.
I managed to park on a grassy verge a mile away and Run to the start just in time for the gun! I was convinced I'd miss it. Not the best prep! That said, I managed a half marathon PB of 1:26:37. Possibly due to the bad weather and I had a flight to catch that afternoon!
The race itself is a nice setting and unique bling. Not many spectators as it's park based.
The organisers were very aware of the problems and promised to rectify them for this year.......I hope so as it could be a great event.
Hopefully lessons were learnt!
