I loved the friendliness - from the sign-up and email build-up, through the briefing and racking and on the day. They wanted you to have a wonderful race day - as well as applying all of the rules and making it a proper race.
The swim route is very simple - I can imagine that wind would be a factor, but we were lucky enough to have a still day. The bike course is beautifully scenic, whilst the run course is a little more prosaic.
Some friends who were having a hard day felt that the support was thin round the course, but the finish is fabulous and I even managed to have a shower in the changing room before my massage! Brilliant.
