Well organised and extremely well supported HM. Registration was straightforward and the pack sent through the post with the race number contained all the information necessary. I liked the idea of having a t-shirt voucher so that you could run in the t-shirt if you liked. 

The course itself was well marshalled and signposted. It isn’t the most picturesque of courses to be honest but it’s an urban HM and is relatively flat for the most part. Local support was fantastic all along the route and the course generally felt safe due to the closed road environment for much of the route. 

There were five feed stations (more than on many HMs) and these were stocked with water and much appreciated jelly babies (2 of the 5). Finishers received a medal, t-shirt, banana and bottle of water (which is all I really want after running 13 miles anyway). The unique design of the medal and t-shirt make this a popular event and its clear that many participants return year after year.
