Just a couple of points from the 5k swim.
-paid to do practice swim Friday evening, wasn’t allowed in until 6.15, told couldn’t do full course and was only allowed to swim for 20 minutes to allow younger swimmers to get in!
-course map upside down, made complicated course harder to follow, no lead canoe on first lap, subsequently missed a bouy and canoe didn’t react very quickly.
-having timing mat out of water not ideal
-no one counting the laps
-no recycling facilities for campers or onsite
had a good time anyway, will be back for another swim soon!
