← North Downs Way 100

This was my first 100 mile race and what an experience.

I arrived in Farnham the night before the race and went down to register at the race HQ. I collected my race number, had my kit checked and gave in my drop bags. It was great to be able to do this the night before as took away some of the stree in the morning.

Early next day I returned to the HQ where all the runners were gathering. We then got walked down to the start and were given our briefing and set off on time at 6am.

The course is tough and testing with some epic climbs which will have your lungs and legs burning but the course is beautiful with some amazing views along the way.

The aid stations were full of goodies from sweets and cookies, sausage rolls and sandwiches, pineapple and watermelon and gels. The marshals at the aid station were super helpful and looked after you amazing. They filled up bottles, plated up food, whatever you needed they would help you with, plus they were all very smiley, positive and full of energy.

The course was brilliantly marked out with signs and tape and I knew I was on the correct route the whole way round which was a massive help.

The finish is at an athletics track with one loop round before crossing the finish line and being awarded your buckle and finishers t-shirt.

This was an amazing experience made even better by a very well organised and friendly race,
