← ATW Grafman Middle Distance Triathlon
This is the second year that I have completed the Grafman, and I do really like it as an event. The general organisation is brilliant, but the bike course needs some work - it either needs to be closed roads, or a lap course. At times riders were 2 or 3 deep on each side of the road, with cars and all sorts in between trying to overtake; it felt pretty dangerous at times. We were given a brief beforehand that as it was national champs, the marshalls would be extra strict about drafting etc...this didn't appear to be the case. I saw a number of pelotons formed, but nothing seemed to be done about breaking them up, or penalising anyone.
Aside from that, I can't fault it (apart from maybe the water not being the nicest, and the midges on the run). Definitely one that I would do again
