I was a little apprehensive about taking on this 10km after completing the Great North Run the week before with minimal training and a tiring week at work in my legs. But this race was worth it.

This is a beautiful (flat) run, in the most unbelievable surroundings. I started the race in the third wave and after about 1km found myself up with the 65min pacer. I've never ran with a pacer before and decided I would try and stick with this group. This was the best idea I've had and I can't praise Phil enough and the group around. I managed to maintain the pace, enjoy the beautiful surroundings and all the different kinds of entertainment around the course, and to top it off get round in 63.33! 

This race left me feeling amazing all day, all down to the great course, pacer, awesome tshirt and unique medal! And then able to enjoy the beautiful Kew Garden surroundings after to top it off.

I will definitely be signing up again next year!
