Really enjoyed the event despite struggling with the course marking. Some tough climbs but great views at the top. Recommended.

Really enjoyed this event, nice start and finish. Good quality t-shirt and medal. Very good number of marshalls on the course, plenty of water. Having to run on the pavement is annoying and does make parts of the course congested. Good event worth doing. Also hit up Natually Chinese for some pre-race carbs.

This is the perfect introduction to ultra running and is the ideal step up from the Marathon. Excellent value for money and really well organised. Logistically this is easy to reach by both car or public transport, the race starts at the shoulder of mutton pub which is right next to the rail station. The first half of the race is through some beautiful countryside, there are some hills but nothing too challenging and if the weather plays ball can be quite runnable. The second half follows the Grand Union Canal which you will follow until you pick up the Paddington arm where you turn left and then it’s just under a half marathon to the finish in Little Venice. There are 5 aid stations in total (2 on the trail 3 on the canal) offering snacks & rehydration (water & isotonic). There is a good quality top & medal awaiting you at the finish, which is well deserved. This is always the first race of the year for me and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
