another brilliant race by Bys vyken events. A pirate themed race where you have to collect bounty at the turn around point. And what a turn around point! Rugged, tough, mountain goat territory coast path dressed as a pirate...what more do you want on a summers day? Excellent RD and event crew, brilliant trophies and spot prizes, excellent value for money. Will definitely be back next year!

this was my first attempt at a 24 hour event so I didn't know what to expect. The pre race information was great and highlighted everything we needed (and didn't need). The registration ran smoothly and there was an air of 'calm before the storm' amongst the 12 starters. The location is stunning, with probably the toughest section of coast path in Cornwall. 24 hours to cover a 2.5mile out and back course, covering almost 500 vertical steps on each lap....utterly insane! Unfortunately injury saw me out after only 6.5 hours (nearly 20 miles) but the race directors looked after me well, along with the Omega paramedic. I will definitely be back next year to attempt the challenge again.

from the course to the marshals, the support crew to the finish line pint of cider - all perfect! Insanely challenging section of Cornish coast path but a brilliant race nonetheless

from signing up last year to completing the RAT this weekend, everything has been great. Behind the scenes admin stuff is flawless, relentless questions are answered and the RD's are just superb. Their aid stations and checkpoints are legendary and the route is simply stunning. Will definitely be back again next year. Thanks Mudcrew xx

Absolutely insane!!!! Most challenging terrain I have raced to date. Loved (most of) it (although the stairway to hell will haunt my dreams). If you want mud and trails then Mudcrew never fail to deliver. Awesome marshals, extremely well organised and brilliant aid stations. Thank you Mudcrew and The Quest, I'll be back next year to take up the challenge...
