A beautiful day for a beautiful race! This has to got to have one of the most scenic starts to a race! You start in front of the castle and on the quayside. Support was great through Conwy and into Llandudno. The climb up the Great Orme is tough but the views once at the top are stunning. Views across the sea towards the Snowdonia mountains with the sight of Conwy Castle a welcome sight in the distance. The last half mile leads you back across the bridge to a fast downhill finish in front of a large crowd!
Great support from the well organised marshals. A fantastic medal, non technical t-shirt and a bottle of water awaits your finish. Technical T-Shirts could be bought for an extra fee. Baggage drop was also well organised.
Conwy is a lovely little town and is the perfect backdrop for the race

This was my 2nd Snowdonia Marathon and I can’t recommend it highly enough!
Its got to be on every marathon runners ‘to do’ list!
Registration is straight forward. You collect your number, t shirt, programme and a complimentary gel.
The atmosphere on race morning is really friendly, in fact the whole event is really friendly!
The course itself is stunning. Mainly road, a few miles off road and 3 lovely hills to climb!
Support along the course is fantastic especially at Beddgelert. Gave me goosebumps going through there. Was like a scene from Tour De France with the crowd very close to you on either side of the road! The finish on Llanberis High Street also gives you goosebumps. Big crowds awaits you with people shouting your name for the final sprint.
Foil blanket, slate coaster, hot drink and biscuits at the finish! What more could you ask for!
I’ve only run 4 marathons (2 at Snowdonia) but this must be one of the best out there!

This is a gem of a race which has recently been overshadowed by the Manchester Half being in the same day. The Oldham Half Marathon is for those that like hills with over 1100ft of climbing and some stunning views of the Pennines.
The race starts & finishes in Oldham town centre but much of the route is through the semi rural villages of Saddleworth.
The race is well organised and has decent support on each of the Hill climbs.
Goody bag contained a medal, t shirt and a protein bar with bottles of water, fruit and flapjack freely available at the finish line.

Mossley 10k is a great local race. Reasonably priced entry fee with option to buy a t shirt.
Number collection before the race was quick & easy. Secure baggage facilities.
Race itself is a challenging course with the last 3 miles being uphill.
Great support from the local community
Medal, water, cereal bar & fruit at the finish
