Good race, could be brilliant...

Timothy James & Partners London 10 Mile

brilliant route, but absolutely nightmare to find due to no signage from the gates to the event village and really could have done with something as well as water at the stations.

Wfficient bag drop, lovely volunteers and a pleasant day out but no goody bag or t-short am I really hope the donation from the hefty entrance fee is substantial.

A solid race but beware if laps are your nemesis

Great Marshall’s, easy access but beware- it’s a 4 lap course which might not be everyone's Bag!

As ever, easy bag drop and the medal even matches my club colours.

Lots of laps that flew past

I didn't quite realise on signing up that 10k would be 4 laps but somehow they didn't drags. I suspect mostly thanks to marshals singing and cheering despite the sleet and bitter wind. Race numbers collected on the day, a simple set up but a big ballsy medal and chip time to go with well organised set up.

Great overseas run with loads of options

The course runs mostly along coastline including a stretch past the airport with aircraft flying over you. I ran the half, the marathon is an out and back, and a 10 and 5k race start as you get closer to the finish.

Well organised, well marshalled, loads of water stations (although coke as the energy drink was a bit odd...) and a great weekend away. Beware, the 'undulating course' can really take it out of you, those hills are quite small, but very plentiful!

Over-hyped and poorly managed on the day

Having secured a ballot place and hard so many rave reports of this race I expected more. The water stations hadn't been set up so we had to break the plastic on the pallets to get the drinks, at the finish there's no signage for how to get back to the 'village' which is where you also join a monumental queue to DIY your goody bag. The course although unique as a half marathon, follows routes which you can run in other much better organised 10kms through the year. Glad to have seen this for myself, wouldn't bother with it a second time.

Brilliant route, long walk to start/from finish

Great route that takes in some alternative sights to the other popular central London route that Vitality 10000 & Winter Run races use, fairly regular water stations and a decent crowd presence.

Allow loads of time to walk to the start from the bag drop/toilets area and the finish is a long walk back through too. It's an expensive race so unless you REALLY love London routes, you might be better with a cheaper alternative.

Great Race, nightmare registration

Whilst Redbull send you loads of paper & annoying cans of redbull that have to be collected from the sorting office, race numbers have to be collected on the day- queues were massive and bag drop was quite literally tag and discard with huge queues too.

But- support in the Cambridge villages is awesome, it's unique concept of being chased and David Coulthard is a brilliant sport with high fives and friendly waves and encouragement for runners. Finishers t-shirt & goodies are great, but if medals are your thing, this one mght be a bit disappointing.

Fast, Flat & Full of Crowd Support

Some of the best sights in London on a flat course through the city, this race also has a great event area for post-race as well as excellent finisher's t-shirt & goody bag. It seemed a little more congested this year but nothing that would slow you down too much.

Favourite London Course

Vitality London 10,000

Closed roads in central London, well organised, great crowd support, bands, music, marshalls, a packed goodie bag, weighty medal, decent finishers t-shirt and a full on evernt after the finish. I set my PB here in 2016 and can't wait to get back out there in 2017. Nothing beats a finish in front of Buckingham Palace.

Flat & First Timer Friendly

My first half marathon, the course is flat although a little narrow in the city centre areas it's more than made up for with the villages surrounding and support at key points in the route. A big, hefty medal if that's what floats your boat.

Be wary of turning up too early pre-race- there's nowhere to get away from wind and rain if you follow their advice to arrive 90 mins before the first waves starts and a lot of hanging around.
