Very tough but very lovely route and great organisers
Ticks all the boxes. Well organised, tough course, great way to kick off the start of the year!
Organisation is excellent - all runs so smoothly. Great coures showing off off the local countryside and great medal and flapjack at the end. Plenty of marshalls who are all very vocal in their support.
Third year doing this race, brilliant, low key and very friendly. Absolutely punishing course but absolutely fantastic.
great race and very well organised
I love the G3 race series and have taken part in it several years running. The courses are over some of my favourite parts of the Guildford countryside and provide runners wih beautiful trial running from the chalky, clay based hills of Newlands Corner to the sandy slopes of St Martha's and woodland running of The Chantries. Ground conditions can vary from hard and frosty and sometimes even snowy to wet and muddy - there is nearly always some lovely mud involved on the G3. The course is well marked with arrows and with cheerful, encouraging marshals at many points throughout. There are always several tough hills to test participants but the views from the top of them are well worth the slog up especially from the top of St Martha's hill. Runners range from the fast racing snakes who leap up the hills as if they were nothing right through to slower paced runners who walk up the bigger hills and then run the downhill and flatter sections. The flapjacks and brownies at the end are delicious and the medal is always a good one. I can't wait for the next installment in a few weeks time.
Best brownies at any race...or possibly ever.
Fun in the mud
This was the perfect run to get started with off-road running. Well organised, very challenging, friendly staff and a good sense of comradery. I'll be back for more!

love the g3 series! great way to kick start the year. tough, hilly, muddy course makes it all the more satisfying!
my favourite race series. Pretty, muddy and hilly run over the Surrey hills around Guildford. Always well organised and a great atmosphere. Not too large and not too small.
