A route in the shape of a hog. What's not to like?
A real great race for those comfortable with a 10k...challenging in places, but totally rewarding!
Great scenery and uniquely shaped course. Couple of tough hills at start but offset by lots of fast downhill. Plenty marshalls offering support although not really any other spectators.
This was the first time I have done this race. Pre-race details made it easy to find, and plenty of parking. Really scenic course around Loseley Park area - enhanced by sunny (albeit cold and frosty) conditions. Plenty of friendly encouragement from local walkers and passers-by. Very amusing to see the Garmin map graphic afterwards - distinctive hog-shaped route! Looking forward to having another go next year.
Well... the clue is in the name :-)
Very Enjoyable race well organised and a great course well thought out will be back again next year to better my time.
It was a fabulous race albeit a tough couple of hills. The organisation was brilliant. The only reason i have scored slightly down on the "Race briefing" was that we couldnt hear it, although that did not impact the race at all.
Great race, really enjoyed it
Fantastic race, challenging course but very scenic. Event is very well organised .
really nice course, great marshalling and organisation. Nearly froze to death waiting for the hot food at the end and being parked more than half a mile from the start/finish there wasn't an option to nip back for more clothes. This put a dampener on an otherwise great race.
This is a great race. I entered with a group of friends from my running club (Fitstuff in Guidford) and we all loved it.
From start to finish this race was wonderful..location, scenery, weather and distance. Organisation was superb
Really enjoyed the race
Challenging hills and a good atmosphere
The event was well organised and pitcuresque, I really enjoyed it and would certainly love to come back next year.
I really enjoyed the race. Quite hilly during the first 5k and mainly downhill the rest (6.7k). It was freezing but it was sunny and the banana and the hot drink afterwards helped a lot! :) You can leave your bag at your own risk and lock your bike in a wooden fence near Loseley House.
This was my first time entering this race although I have ran parts of the route prior. There was a great atmosphere on the day which probably helped me come in over 5 minutes quicker than expected. I biked to the venue and got a free saddle cover which was a nice incentive! The sausage in a bap after was well worth the wait also (although you, quite rightly, have to pay extra for this.) I also had time to pop into the Watts Gallery cafe after for another warm snack! You run past the Watts Gallery during the race. I will definitly sign up for next years.
After checking in with a friendly lady handinng out race numbers, I set off with the many other runners on a beautifully sunny, but cold and frosty morning. The course, despite hilly in places, takes you through some scenic parts of the Countryside with stunning views over the Surrey Hills. Well organised and friendly staff and fellow runners. Looking forward to the 2107 Hogs Back run
Good first race just wanted to do it now I want to do more
