Great race will be back!

Nice event this one, very undulating and some steep climbs along the way, halfway to being a ‘Brutal’ run (just without the water)

Breathtaking views and breathtaking hills!

The Hurt came highly recommended by friends who had run it before and it did not disappoint.

10.5k

Super tough course, but well organised and great fun. My only concern was that it was hard to hear the race briefing unless you were right at the front. Megaphone or PA may be?

Do it!

Great day, very difficult course. Did the 21km - would prefer to do a full 21km than 2 x 10.5km as I was too tempted to stop at 10.5km!! But I appreciate logistically harder to manage. Would recommend this to anyone after a challenge. I chose it as part of my training for the Two Oceans marathon in Cape Town next April.

Awesome!

My first time running the Hurt and what a gorgeous course, loved it. Sharp, steep slopes are where it is at!

Good Hills

Good hill run, and an ideal training run for a Welsh trail marathon in Snowdonia in 2 weeks.

Hills, more hills and finally a hill!

This was my fifth time running The Hurt - it never gets any easier but always one of the first races on my calendar. The steeps are truly brutal and the satisfaction of getting over the line means I'll be back for a sixth.

Not For The Faint Hearted- But Worth It!

The race starts off deceptively easy, but do not be fooled.  You are very soon into the depths of the wood and once inside, you will encounter very narrow, technical and at times, alarmingly steep hills and descents.  You need to pay attention all the time.

Absolutely fantastic race!

AAT Events in Guildford have the best races around!  Magnificent scenary, amazingly organized and outstanding medals make each and every race a must do!  I may not be the fastest runner (I'm definitely not!!) but their events make every ability welcome.  Can't wait to run the 21km again next year.  Bring on the hills!

Fabulous (but tough!)

really lovely event in the Surrey Hills. Don't do it for a PB but instead enjoy the challenge of over 2000 feet of climbing in the 21k event. Marshals were cheerful and provided great encouragement and course was beautiful and interesting (did I mention the hills?!).
