This was the first time I'd done a race of this kind, where you don't have a certain distance but have (up to) a certain time.
It was freezing cold, and took a little longer than expected to collect the race bibs, but we were only a few minutes late in starting. The course is a little boring (each lap is only 1km) but I was only planning on doing 10km as part of a training run. Once we got going, I really enjoyed myself - though I'm not sure how many laps I would have wanted to do if I hadn't planned to stop at 10k!
The event was well organised, and there was plenty of parking, clear instructions and happy volunteers. The medal was a nice, fun, different medal, and there was a huge range of homemade cakes to choose from at the end - win!

A brilliant idea for a personal challenge, a 1km track and complete as many laps as you can in two hours.
Really well organised event, Joni's ( the organiser ) passion for these really shows in how well executed they are. The medal design is awesome no plain squares with a logo here they are one of the highlights of these events!
Really recommend this event and any others by same organisers!

Another belter of a race organised by SeeYorkRunYork. 1k cycle track - as many laps as you can in 2hrs.
I thought this would be mentally challenging but didn’t even need put my music on as the support and chat from other competitors was constant and very encouraging. The weather was tough but this didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits.
As well as the excellent organisation, superb cakes were on offer at the end and yet again a wonderful, unique medal and loaded goodie bag (discount vouchers, chocs, sweets).
Chocolate 10k next for me - my third organised by these guys and I can’t wait. Well done all - super work.

Another good local event from the SeeYorkRunYork guys.
Mutiple 1k laps of the Uni cycle track. As many as you can do in 2 hours. So not a unique or pretty location but good for the purpose.
Had to collect race number on the day, which led to quite big queues with people turning up late. But the organisers got the queue down quickly, unfortunately this led to a delay in the start.
The weather was appalling but the marshalls were lovely and supportive, and did a sterling job giving out juice in the rain! You could take your own water bottle to put on a table by the side which was a great idea. I forgot my bottle tho!
Easy to get to from the station by Bus (66 uni bus and only £2 return, bargain)
Great medal and I had a lovely bit of brownie after I finished. Great cakes.
A fab race that was inclusive of all abilities, and you could do as many or few laps as you wanted. I did 10 as the weather was horrid, but would probably have done more if it was a nicer day.
Great local event and I’d recommend to anyone to give it a go next year.

first time I have done a lapped challenge and it was great. Not just a boring circle but a windy 1k route on a cycle track with a 2 hour limit. Registration was easy with chip timing, marshals were great, fabulous cake at the end, recommendation of bringing own bottle to try and decrease use of plastic but still available if needed. Great bling and goody bag with a voucher for discounted entry to Yorvik Viking Centre. Would definitely recommend and run again.

First time this race has taken place. It was well organised like all the other events from See York Run York. Weather conditions were awful at times, but it was all good fun.Friendly support. It was flat 1km lap and see how many laps could be done in 2hours. Love these local events. Will certainly do it again next year if it is held again. Would recommend.
