Fast!!! Really fast... Then you hit the notorious head wind and sllloooooowwww. The run is around the infield racetrace, the bike around the oval. No traffic, loads of space, perfect surface. There's also the other races (5k, 10k, 10mile run) later in the day. If you fancy it. Just be warned, in Nov the wind is COLD!!

Efficient organisation and friendly staff and volunteers. This is a welcoming and enjoyable event for both serious competitors and recreational enthusiasts in s setting which presents its own challenges. The idea of a duathlon on s motor-racing circuit appealed to me and didn’t disappoint!

First time I have taken part in this race and I will be back next year! Great venue, friendly marshalls and a well run event. Added bonus of having access to the photos is a nice touch, thank you.

First time at Rockingham for the SBR Duathlon 2017 on November 5 - total enjoyment from (before the) start until (well after the) finish. Great atmosphere, great venue, great people and great organisation. The day was made even better by clear skies and bright sunshine - what more could you ask for??

Well organised and small details count, quick registration, Bike and helmet stickers that peel straight back off (never underestimate this) , instant and quick provisional results, relaxed and friendly officials and Marshall’s, catering for the best and the first timers .... well done guys . Only one bit advice is have some interval markers for 5/10km, know you have multiple distances and races but you could display on same board or across a few boards clearly and simply.

Hi Giles - Thanks for your comments. Really good to know you enjoyed it. We had the 1-4 km boards in place (measured back from the finish line) & hoped that since the finish line was the same for 5k & 10k - it would be a simple calculation to double up. They were on small bright orange boards. Kind regards Amanda
