The Limassol Marathon is a beautiful coastal race weekend. I did the half and it's a fun and flat route. The half marathon field is a couple of thousand and the route is relatively residential, but you do have the sea / coastal views most of the way round. The standout feature of this race is the start / finish area with a palm tree lined promenade and a great race village / post-race party to enjoy!

This was my first ever marathon and my first one abroad so i didn't know what to expect.  I would definetly recommend this one if you fancy doing one abroad.  The weather was fantastic not to hot in March but lovely and warm.  The route is out and back along the coast which was nice and flat (possibly PB).  Remember the sun cream. It was a great overseas marathon and definetly go back next year with the family.  Its definetly worth giving it a go. Bag drop and collection was fantastic and plenty of water stops which was needed. Fab medal and great party after.

Limassol marathon in sunny Cyprus was a pleasure to run. The sunshine, scenery and a fresh feeling about this marathon made it excellent for an early marathon season run. The only thing that lets it down a little is the lack of spectator support out on the course, but this is a young marathon relatively and that will improve. This is a great marathon that can be run alongside a fab family holiday to the island of Cyprus (as we did). Don’t let anything put you off and give this one a try!

This was my first International race, Limassol Cyprus. Lovely area to be in, the event was very well put together, although I heard some things about the race from last year, the organisers listened to the feedback and adjusted a few things. The 5k on Saturday is a Corporate race, there were an estimated 10000 people for it, if you want a good time, you need to be at the very front. So, onto the Half Marathon, the route was easy to navigate as it is a coastal route and back to the start/finish area, water stations were in equal spots and well stocked for both the Marathon and the Half, public support though is almost NIL, so this is one for the brain to engage and concentrate on the training. I was fortunate to run with the 2h15 pacer, as I had made a promise to beat my Half PB for my Mum RIP. Portaloos are not many and there were a few queues which I did let the organisers know about, so they could consider changing next year. There were supposed to be gel stations also, but these were in the wrong place personally. The water shower wasn't that great and too close to the end to make much sense of. However, at 23 degrees it was welcomed regardless. I managed to gain my PB for this distance which is now 2:14:24. I am already looking forward to coming back next year to do this race again. OH... their after party was excellent, just a shame the rain came down, which deterred a lot of runners from attending it.

This is the first year i have run the half marathon in Limassol. It's a very well organised event. The start and the finish is the best place to be for spectators. Plenty of water stations on course. Close to the end you get cups of water with electrolyte and gels. Sponges are given out also they are very refreshing as it was very warm. Bag drop and collection was straight forward. I would definitely do this race again.

This is the second time I have taken part in the Limassol Marathon Weekend and it had improved from the 2018 event. The Corporate 5K was improved so that the fast runners did not get impeded by the people yet to start but unless you start at the front do not expect a fast run, this is more of a social gathering. The race village was enlarged with more stands and the water stations were better stocked so that there was plenty remaining for the Marathon runners. If you need to have crowds cheering you on from start to finish this race is not for you but if you like having your own space to run in with out being tripped up, sunshine, great medals, superb organisation, making friends and fantastic after party then you should sign up. I would love to return next year.

I ran this one which was my first marathon overseas, as the 4:15 pacer. It is a fantastically organised weekend of racing and I would recommend this one if you haven't done an overseas race before. We were blessed with lovely warm weather and this double out and back course is very flat so PB potential. Great water stops and well organised marshals. Only downfall is the lack of crowds at either end of the course. Saying that most enjoyable and one to do.

My second Limassol HM. Great organisation and the folk in the expo were really helpful. Race start well organised with a lot of atmosphere. Route is an out and back along the coastal road to just beyond the Amatheus ruins. In practice tge views are predominantly of the hotels onboth sides of the road. You get to see the coast at a couple of points, mostly around the turn around point. Start and finish are in the Molos section of the town which is nice. Medal to all finishers. Race village much expanded this year with a lot going on.
