Great event with controls well spread so that distance to next control was not too great. The map quality was good and allowed accurate navigation to controls, although the Blackheath Forest area was challenging as there are more tracks on the ground than show on the map. Using...
Great event with controls well spread so that distance to next control was not too great. The map quality was good and allowed accurate navigation to controls, although the Blackheath Forest area was challenging as there are more tracks on the ground than show on the map. Using an OS 1:25000 map requires some adjustment - eg. the white minor roads can be difficult to spot on the map, eg. what's marked as a green bridlepath can be a tarmac lane. Overall a good challenge and a good MTB session in the Surrey countryside.
