← Envisage VeloRuner Knighton 20

Just 6 weeks before London I though this race represented a good long run option. At just £16 for an affiliated entry it was I thought good value.

The race was based at the Knighton Sports & Social club in Knighton Staffs which provided excellent facilities for runners. There was good atmosphere before and after the race in the clubhouse with runners leaving baggage here during the race without any issues.

The course was a tough undulating 3 lap route of the Staffs countryside with plenty of hills to test the participants. Conditions unfortunately weren't great with the recent rain leaving plenty of water on the course, and the cold weather leaving the roads riddled with potholes.

With such a remote location, as I expected support around the course wasn't great. With just a few supporters in the local villages which runners passed through.

It was enjoyable day though, a really well organised event one which I would definitely do again.
