This one was always going to be tough and the course proved just that (they say add 1- 1.5 hours to your average time) with a course elevation of approximately 1500 meters of steep hills(some with steps) and trails but saying that there was some incredible views and the trails were really fun to run through

The marshals were friendly and helpful (although only present at the aid stations) and the feed stations were well stocked with Banana’s, Flapjacks and other goodies (the tailwind drink was also refreshing on the hot day)

the event organisation was good, and the race director has been really good at getting back to me regarding issues and query’s (I feel like I’ve been the unlucky one on this race as received the HM medal as opposed to the Marathon one as well as tripping twice on the route)

all-in - all the race is good for those die-hard trail runners but not so good for those hunting a PB, the finishers medal is enourmous and by far one of the best in my collection

I finished in a respectable time for the course of 5:39:31 and am really glad to have completed this one :-)
