Registration Process

One you sign up, the rest is easy. Graeme sends out 4 emails in the lead up to the event, detailing everything you need to know. They also serve as a nice reminder not to leave it all to the last minute, like i normally do.

Race Profile

The race is flat with the exception of 1 short sharp burst on the bike (you hit this twice in the race) where you will need all gears on your bike. It doesn’t last long but it gets you heart rate up. The swim is in a nice clean(ish) lake, the bike is through some beautiful cotswold villages and the run is mixed terrain but mostly solid paths.

Overall

This is a great value for money race with great organisation, great support I will definitely do this race again in the future.

I’d recommend this to anyone, even first timers, its has a friendly family vibe to it, its relatively flat, the organisation is great and the marshals are really welcoming, literally nothing is too much trouble.

Final note, on the day it was hot, and I mean hot, so a massive thank you to the local resident of Somerford Keynes who stood outside his house and showered us with his hose pipe as we ran past, Thank you!
