This is a really great alternative to an MDot branded race. Unfortunately the weather hit with the only day of rain in the entire British summer. Which was a little unfortunate. Despite that however the race was amazing. The Outlaw races all have a real team commaraderie about them.its awesome. The briefs are great really easy, and you get as much erdinger as you can drink... Always a winner. Logistics wise, it's all based at one location, much much nicer than the complexity of IM UK. The swim is in a boating lake, easy to navigate, it's a there and back. I am assured if it had been stunning the sunrise as you get in is stunning. The bike is fast. As flat as you like. You can smash some insane times here. The run is also very flat. Which is a relief. I love this race. If you are bawking at the cost of ironman then this really is the race for you!
